1. CONFIDENCE. Stand up for yourself and Be Confident, but not cocky.
2. MUSIC. Learn what you like. The harder the better. Death metal is an acquired taste, and if you don't like it you might not fit in in this scene.
3. STYLE. Longer very choppy straightened hair. If you can, cut it yourself. If not have a friend do it, preferably one with some experience. Do not have it done professionally. Many peoples hair is dyed black or other colors, natural colors are good too. Depending on where you live the styles will vary. Piercings and stretched lobes will get you cred.
4. CLOTHES. Tight jeans, metal shirts. For shoes: lowtop cons or vans also skate shoes, but not big clunky ones. Bright colors are cool in some groups and looked down on in others. baller hats covered in sharpie and metal lyrics. All your clothing should look worn, but still fresh.
5. SHOWS. Go to them. Talk to everyone that seems cool. Never be afraid to get in the pit. Be the guy that leaves the show with a broken nose. make friends and build connections. if you stand by your friends they will always be there for you.
